Letter to Editor describes Dan Eldridge’s mission work in Johnson City Press

In case you missed the April 27th edition of the Johnson City Press there is a terrific letter to the editor written by a 23-year-old Dan Eldridge supporter. Here it is in its entirety:

Elect Eldridge

“Now that early voting has begun the excitement of the upcoming election is more apparent than ever. What a wonderful opportunity Washington County has to elect Dan Eldridge for mayor.

I am 23 years old and have known Dan the majority of my life. At the age of 12, I got the opportunity to go with our church on a mission trip to Mexico. Dan was along on the trip. What an experience. We slept in tents, took cold showers from a water hose, and worked tirelessly, experiencing firsthand the intolerable conditions of their daily life.

I remember being so impressed that a successful businessman like Dan would take the time to do this. He has such a humble spirit.

Since then, there have been countless times throughout the years that I have seen Dan and Tammy donating their time and resources to our church, our community and many charitable organizations. They are constantly giving selflessly, meeting the needs of others.

Now Dan wants to serve our county and give back to this wonderful area he grew up in.

As a recent college graduate, I know the frustration that we as young adults have with the lack of job opportunities in our area. Dan will work to change this. He is committed to bringing jobs to this area.

But not only is it his goal, he has the capabilities and drive necessary to do so. Through his many accomplishments, he has a proven record of success in the business world.

He has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to lead effectively, always exemplifying the integrity of which Washington County will benefit.

Dan is not running for mayor for any selfish gain, but rather for his love of our great community and the desire to make it even better.”
